Company History

Brett Pearson and Terry Wong left the Semiconductor Equipment Division of Canon USA in 1994 to form a new company in the heart of Silicon Valley: Microstep. Microstep’s mission was to provide customers with quality off hours and weekend shift services for their Canon Steppers.

Customers found that the service Microstep was providing dramatically increased their stepper uptime and availability. Due to numerous customer requests, Microstep started providing extended service coverage along with quality, cost effective spare parts.

In December of 1995, the company Incorporated under the name Ventex Corporation. This also led to the expansion of services provided by the company.

In March of 1996 Ventex opened its Engineering and Design Services Department. This provided engineering and design services for system improvements and to handle specific customer requirements

Achieving an excellent reputation and its commitment to high quality customer-oriented service, Ventex expanded its customer base around the world to include North America, Asia and Europe.

2004 Facility Expansion

  • 7000 Sq. Ft. Total (650 square meters)
  • 2000 Sq. Ft Clean Room (185 square meters)
  • 2500 sq. ft. temperature controlled warehouse

In 2006 Ventex expanded its parts department to increase customer access to an even larger spare parts stocking for their equipment to include the 3000 series steppers.
